Instead, Houston took it 0-2, with Guilherme scoring and Agustín Bouzat adding the second. That is more than just a wrong scoreline; it is a wrong read on who controlled the important moments. Guilherme was not merely present — he was decisive — while Jack McGlynn supplied an assist and Houston’s shape held together well enough to turn the game into something far less comfortable for Sporting Kansas City than predicted. The model over-weighted home attacking expectation and under-weighted Houston’s ability to nick control through its own key men.

The round belonged to players Fipster half-saw — and one it missed entirely

Luis Suárez Díaz was the headline scorer Fipster did flag pre-match, and he justified that faith with another decisive contribution for Inter Miami. Nicolás Fernández Mercau also hit for New York City FC after being called, which at least gave the model some credit where credit was due.
