How it works

Predict · score · compete

Three moves, start to finish. Make the call, bank the points, climb your league.

1

Predict

Open any upcoming fixture on the slate, choose your market(s) and submit — easy. You’ve got Fipster’s own prediction plus a wealth of data and stats at your fingertips.

2

Earn points

When the match is played, every market you called correctly scores. Harder calls and less-likely outcomes are worth more.

3

Climb your league

Start or join a league with friends. Standings update as each round is scored, all the way to the Final.

Scoring

What points are worth

Each fixture has four markets you can predict. Every market is scored on its own and summed — base points reflect how hard the call is.

Biggest base · hardest call
CS

Correct Score

Nail the exact final score. The toughest prediction on the board — and the one that pays the most.

HT/FT

Half-Time/Full-Time

Call the result at half time AND full time — every leg must land. On a knockout a full-time draw adds an extra-time leg, and a level extra time adds a penalties leg; the base grows with each: 15 → 22 → 29.

Confidence multiplier

The bolder the call, the bigger the reward

The less likely your pick is, the more it rewards. Your score is base × multiplier, locked in the instant you submit — running from 1× (near-certain) up to a cap of 3× (a long shot) — up to 5× for some markets.

Perfect-pick bonus

One bonus, boosted for fuller slates

There’s just one bonus — the Perfect Pick: land every market you picked on a fixture and you bank a flat bonus on top. The richer your slate, the more that bonus boosts. Accuracy is rewarded, so playing it safe is never punished; miss any leg and the bonus is gone.

  • +8The bonus
    Perfect Pick

The bonus: every market you picked on a fixture lands (1 or 2 markets).

  • +11Boost
    Trio Boost

Boosts the bonus when all three markets land on one fixture (add a Goalscorer to a 2-market pick).

  • +20Boost
    Ultra Boost

The top boost — a maximal slate all lands: Correct Score + Goalscorer, or Result + BTTS + an Over/Under line + Goalscorer.

Picking & locking

What you can pick, and when it locks

Mix your markets within the rules, and keep editing right up until each fixture kicks off.

Pick combinations

Per fixture, you can submit any one of:

  • Any market on its ownthe simplest pick
  • Match Result + Both Teams To Score
  • Match Result + Over / Under 2.5
  • Both Teams To Score + Over / Under 2.5
  • Correct Score on its ownstands alone — no core combos
  • Goal Scorer on top of any pickan add-on — even alongside Correct Score

The rule: at most two of Match Result, BTTS and Over/Under can be combined, and Correct Score never joins those. Goal Scorer sits outside that cap — add it to any pick, including Correct Score.

Closing knockout rounds: at a World Cup or Champions League semi-final, third-place play-off or final, a single-market pick isn't allowed — you must submit the full slate.

When picks lock

Each fixture locks at its own kick-off — not when the round starts. You can keep predicting the other fixtures in a round right up until each one kicks off.

Locks at kick-off
Per fixture — not per round

Once a fixture has kicked off, its pick is final.

The World Cup road

From the groups to the Final

A round is one tournament round — all of its fixtures, ordered by kick-off — and a single round can span several days. As each round is scored, your league standings move and the bracket advances through all nine stages.

Road to the Final
  1. G1
  2. G2
  3. G3
  4. R32
  5. R16
  6. QF
  7. SF
  8. 3rd
  9. Final

Three group rounds, then straight knockout: Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, the 3rd-Place Final and the Final.

Knockout scoring

Extra time & penalties

Knockout ties can go to extra time and a shootout. Here's exactly how those fixtures are scored — group rounds and any 90-minute game are unaffected.

Match Result — who goes through

On a knockout game you back the team to go through — the side that advances, penalties included. If the tie is level after extra time and settled on penalties, the team that goes through is the winner.

No Draw option: the knockouts can’t end level, so Draw isn’t offered on those fixtures — you pick a team to advance.

Score, BTTS & Over/Under

Correct Score, Both Teams To Score and Over/Under (2.5 & 3.5) are scored on the score at the end of extra time. The penalty shootout does not count towards the scoreline.

Worked example: 1–1 after extra time, won on penalties → still scored 1–1. BTTS = Yes, Under 2.5, Under 3.5.

Goalscorer

A Goalscorer pick lands on goals scored in normal time or extra time.

Shootout penalties don’t count — only goals during play, through the end of extra time, settle a Goalscorer pick.
