Today’s Serie A action was a rollercoaster for the Fipster prediction model, which managed to secure four TICK grades amidst three MISS results. The model’s confidence was a double-edged sword: it was notably overconfident in the three misses, failing to predict any correct outcomes or halftime results in those games. On the flip side, it showed more restraint and accuracy in its underconfident calls, particularly in Cruzeiro versus Atletico Paranaense and Internacional against Santos.
The Cruzeiro 3-1 Atletico Paranaense fixture earned a TICK as the model nailed the outcome and correctly anticipated both teams would score along with an accurate over-under call — though it missed the exact score and halftime prediction.
