Valencia vs Villarreal was the highlight of the day for our model, nailing not just the outcome but the exact scoreline of 1-2. It also correctly predicted both teams would score and that the total goals would be over the line — all despite being underconfident about this one. We’ll take that as a win and maybe even frame it.
Atletico Madrid’s narrow 1-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna was another tick in the right box. The model got the outcome spot on but missed out on the exact score and other finer details like both teams scoring or halftime correctness. Still, an appropriate confidence rating means it wasn’t wildly off.
Racing Santander’s 2-1 win against Espanyol also earned a tick. The model correctly called the outcome, both teams scoring, and total goals over a certain threshold — though it didn’t quite get halftime right. Confidence was appropriate here too, so no complaints.
