Chelsea’s exact score call saves the day as Fipster stumbles at Bournemouth

Two Premier League matches, two very different Fipster fortunes: a spot-on prediction for Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Tottenham, but a miss on the 1-1 draw between Bournemouth and Manchester City. BTTS was the only common ground for both games.

The Premier League action on May 19th gave our beloved Fipster model a mixed bag to chew on. Chelsea versus Tottenham was a highlight, with the model nailing the exact scoreline of 2-1 and correctly predicting both teams would find the net. It even got the over-under right, proving it can still bring its A-game when it counts.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth and Manchester City served up a 1-1 draw that caught the model off guard. It confidently predicted a 2-1 win for City, but the actual outcome was a draw. At least it got the both teams to score call right, so not a total disaster. The halftime prediction also missed the mark, reminding us that even the best models have their off days.

So, tallying up the day: one star-worthy prediction, one miss, and a model record of 1 STAR · 0 TICK · 1 MISS. Not perfect, but we’ll take that one with a wink and a nod. Day grade: B+.
