Samsunspor and Göztepe Serve Up a Six-Goal Thriller, Fipster Left Guessing
A 3-3 draw between Samsunspor and Göztepe kept everyone on their toes, including the Fipster model which missed the mark across all prediction categories today.
Today’s Süper Lig fixture between Samsunspor and Göztepe was anything but predictable. The final scoreline of 3-3 was a feast for fans, but not so much for our trusty Fipster model, which called for a home win with a 1-0 scoreline. Unfortunately, none of the prediction dimensions landed this time around.
The model missed the outcome entirely, failing to foresee the draw. It also didn’t get close on the exact score or whether both teams would find the net — which they did, spectacularly. Even the over/under goal prediction and halftime outcome were off the mark. On the bright side, at least the confidence rating was appropriate; it knew it was taking a gamble.
So while today’s match was a cracker on the pitch, it was a bit of a stinker for our model’s accuracy. We’ll take that one on the chin and look forward to better days ahead.
