Premiership 2025/2026 Season Review
Heart Of Midlothian clinched the Premiership title in a nail-biting finish, edging out Rangers by a solitary point. Both teams were in superb form, with Rangers boasting a slightly better goal difference, but Hearts just had that extra bit of grit. Celtic kept the pressure high, finishing a close third, not far behind with 67 points, making the top three a thrilling tussle to the very end.
Motherwell secured a respectable fourth place, comfortably ahead of Hibernian and Falkirk, who rounded out the European hopefuls. The battle for continental football was fiercely contested, with the top six separated by just a handful of points.
At the other end of the table, Livingston struggled to keep their heads above water, ending on a meagre 16 points and a worrying -31 goal difference. Kilmarnock and St Mirren also found themselves in the lower reaches, fighting to avoid the drop. It was a season of fine margins, where every point mattered and the drama never quite left the pitch.
