NEOM’s win keeps Fipster ticking amid a couple of misfires
Three Pro League matches tested the Fipster model today. NEOM’s 4-2 victory over Al-Fateh was the highlight, earning a solid TICK for correctly calling the outcome. Meanwhile, Al Diriyah vs Abha and Al Riyadh vs Al Kholood both slipped through the cracks, with the model missing on outcome and score predictions despite some halftime insights.
Today’s Pro League action gave our trusty Fipster model a mixed bag to chew on. The standout moment came from NEOM’s 4-2 triumph over Al-Fateh, where the model nailed the match outcome, earning itself a respectable TICK. It didn’t get the exact score or other finer details right, but hey, calling the winner is half the battle.
On the flip side, both Al Diriyah vs Abha and Al Riyadh vs Al Kholood served up surprises that left Fipster scratching its virtual head. For Al Diriyah and Abha’s goalless draw, the model had predicted an away win with goals aplenty — none of which materialised. At least it got halftime right there, so it wasn’t all doom and gloom.
Then there was Al Riyadh’s 2-0 win over Al Kholood, which caught Fipster off guard entirely. The model confidently tipped an away victory with goals on both sides — a prediction that turned out to be a bit too optimistic. Confidence rating? Overconfident indeed.
Overall, it was a day of highs and lows for our prediction pal: one TICK and two MISS grades across three fixtures. The model showed it can still pick winners when it counts but struggles with exact scores and goal expectations. Still, we’ll take that one — nobody’s perfect, especially not when football throws curveballs.
