Primeira Liga predictions hit a rough patch with all three fixtures missing the mark
Today’s Primeira Liga round was a tough one for the Fipster model, as none of the three matches saw its predictions come true. From Academico Viseu’s narrow loss to Santa Clara, to a high-scoring draw between Alverca and Estrela, and FC Porto’s solid win over Rio Ave, the model struggled to find its footing.
It wasn’t exactly a day to brag about for the Fipster prediction model in the Primeira Liga. All three fixtures ended up as misses, which means no points on the board today. The model called for Academico Viseu to win 2-1 at home against Santa Clara, but instead it was Santa Clara who took the spoils with a 1-0 victory. Not a single prediction dimension landed here — outcome, exact score, BTTS, over/under, and halftime were all off target.
Next up was Alverca versus Estrela. The model expected a low-scoring 1-0 home win but got a 2-2 draw instead. Again, every accuracy flag was false across the board — no outcome or scoreline nailed down, no BTTS or halftime call correct. The goals flew in where none were forecasted.
Finally Rio Ave hosting FC Porto was another miss. The model predicted a 2-1 home win but Porto ran out comfortable 2-0 winners. No correct calls on outcome or any other metric here either. Confidence rating was appropriate throughout but that didn’t help today.
So what’s the verdict? A tough day all round with zero STARs or TICKs to celebrate. The model struggled to predict outcomes and scores alike — not even halftime calls came close. It’s one of those days when the crystal ball fogged up completely. We’ll take this as a learning moment and hope for better luck next time.
