Liverpool stroll past Ipswich, but Fipster’s crystal ball foggy as ever
Fipster’s prediction model took a bit of a tumble today with a single Premier League fixture between Ipswich and Liverpool. The model confidently called for an Ipswich win, but the Reds had other ideas, cruising to a 2-0 victory and leaving the prediction in the dust.
Only one fixture on the Premier League menu today, and it was a bit of a curveball for our trusty Fipster model. Ipswich hosted Liverpool, and while the model fancied Ipswich to edge it 2-1, reality served up a neat 2-0 win for Liverpool instead. So much for confidence — every single accuracy check was off the mark: outcome, exact score, BTTS, over-under, and halftime predictions all missed their cues.
The model was decidedly overconfident here — perhaps too optimistic about Ipswich’s chances at home. No halfway wins either; even the halftime call didn’t land. It’s one of those days where you tip your hat to Liverpool and quietly tuck away the prediction slip.
So that leaves us with a clean slate on stars and ticks today — no correct calls to celebrate but plenty of lessons learned. We’ll take this miss on the chin and hope for better luck (and sharper guesses) next time out.
