Malaga and Espanyol share the spoils, Fipster left wanting

Today’s lone La Liga fixture saw Malaga and Espanyol play out a 1-1 draw, which wasn’t quite what Fipster had pencilled in. The model predicted a narrow win for Espanyol, so calling the outcome was a swing and a miss.
On the bright side, Fipster did get one thing right: both teams found the net. So at least we can say it wasn’t a shutout prediction fail.
The exact scoreline guess was off too, as was the halftime call — no points there. Over-under predictions didn’t land either, despite an "appropriate" confidence rating from the model. Sometimes even the best guesses need a bit more luck.
So that leaves us with a single fixture today, one miss on outcome and score but at least some credit for spotting goals at both ends. We’ll take that one with a wink and hope for better fortune next round.
