K League 1’s prediction model has an off day as all three calls miss the mark
Today’s K League 1 fixtures saw the Fipster model confidently back home wins, but the actual results had other ideas. Every single prediction missed on outcome, exact score, BTTS, and halftime accuracy — a tough day for our digital soothsayer.
The model fancied home victories across the board today, but reality served up a trio of surprises with all three matches ending in away wins or draws. Not a single outcome prediction landed correctly — that's a clean sweep for the underdogs.
Exact scores? Nope. Both teams to score? Nope again. Halftime predictions? Also off. Even the over-under calls failed to hit their marks. The model was "appropriate" in confidence for two games and "overconfident" in one — perhaps it should have dialled it down a notch.
