Slavia Praha strolls past Sparta as Fipster faces a tough Czech Liga day
Only one of four predictions hit the mark today, with Slavia Praha's convincing win over Sparta Praha the lone bright spot. The model struggled elsewhere, missing outcomes and exact scores despite some correct calls on both teams scoring and goal totals.
Today’s Czech Liga action served up a mixed bag for the Fipster model, with just one prediction earning a tick in the right column. The standout was the Prague derby where Slavia Praha comfortably defeated Sparta Praha 3-0. The model nailed the outcome and correctly called the match would be over the goal line, though it missed on exact score and halftime predictions. A solid effort that we’ll happily highlight.
Elsewhere, things didn’t go so swimmingly. Slovan Liberec’s 2-0 win over Hradec Králové was completely off-script; the model had predicted an away win and got neither outcome nor exact score right. At least it correctly anticipated no goals for both sides (BTTS) and that the total goals would be under a certain threshold — small mercies.
Plzen’s 1-1 draw with Slovácko also caught the model napping. It confidently forecast a home win by three goals to one but ended up with a share of the spoils instead. Despite this miss, it did get both teams scoring right — so not all bad news — but missed on over-under and halftime calls.
Finally, Teplice’s 2-0 victory against FK Jablonec was another upset for our trusty predictor. Overconfidence perhaps? The model expected a 1-2 away win but got every key metric wrong: outcome, exact score, BTTS, over-under, and halftime accuracy all missed the mark.
