Slavia Praha’s big win saves the day for Fipster in Czech Liga
Three fixtures, three different stories: two misses and one solid tick from Fipster’s predictions. Slavia Praha’s dominant 5-1 victory over Slovácko was the highlight, while Hradec Králové and FK Jablonec both surprised by edging out predicted draws.
Today’s Czech Liga action served up a mixed bag for our trusty Fipster model. The standout moment was Slavia Praha’s emphatic 5-1 thrashing of Slovácko, which earned a respectable TICK grade. While the exact score wasn’t nailed, the model got the outcome right, correctly predicted both teams would score, and even called the over-under tally. Not bad for a day that started with some underconfidence.
On the flip side, Hradec Králové versus Pardubice and FK Jablonec against Sigma Olomouc both slipped through the cracks. The model had pegged these as draws (1-1), but both matches ended 2-1 to the home sides. At least it predicted both teams would find the net — so not all doom and gloom there. However, it missed on outcome, exact score, halftime calls, and over-under predictions in these games. Plus, it was a bit overconfident about Hradec Králové’s match result.
Overall, with zero STARs but one TICK and two MISSes, today’s results show that even our clever model can have an off day — or two. Still, it managed to spot some key elements like goals from both sides and game outcomes when it mattered most. We’ll take that one with a wink and look forward to better luck next time.
